PEROTH BALAKRISHNAN, Ph D

I serve as a Scientist in the Division of Conservation Biology at JNTBGRI, Thiruvananthapuram and as an Adjunct Scientist with the Wildlife Research and Conservation Trust.

I have broad research interests in evolutionay and behavioural ecology and conservation biology. I am also interested in the evolutionary ecology of adaptive phenotypic traits, plant-animal interactions (seed dispersal, seed predation, pollination) and other species interactions (mutualisms, predator-prey and parasite-host interactions) and thier conservation importance. Read more.

If you are in interested in our lab contact me.

I am a Ph D student in Avian Ecology at Sálim Ali Centre for Ornithology and Natural History. I attempt to understand "Insular biogeography of Nicobar Islands from a bird community perspective". I carry out my field work in Nicobar archipelago in the project entitled "Monitoring post tsunami coastal ecosystem recovery in the Nicobar Islands and developing site-specific restoration measures".

My specific interests include: biogeography, community ecology and species level ecology. Read more
